I've always felt that some of life's best memories are made when we spend quality time with the people we care about. Some of my favourite childhood memories came from playing simple games with family and friends. We were laughing together, competing, and simply enjoying each other's company.

Years later, that inner feeling returned in the most unexpected way.

While traveling through Varkala, India, my partner, Rahul, and I stopped at this small resto café located in the cliff. While we were having our dinner, we noticed a group of young friends gathered around a table, completely absorbed in a simple snake and ladder board game together. Curious to see the fun behind their game, we asked if we could join. They welcomed us with their cheerful faces, and what started as a simple game turned into an entire evening full of laughter, friendly competition, and conversations with people we'd never met before. In short, we found some new friends while travelling through South India.

Walking back to our hotel that night, Rahul and I couldn't stop talking about what had happened. We noticed how something so simple had brought strangers together and created a memory we'd never forget.

That unique experience inspired us to create Stonvio.
